This short film, “Despacio” was directed by Jamaal R. James For James Creative Arts And Entertainment Company. Enjoy. But before you watch the film. Meet the cast.
Isabella Stewart played Sophia in the short film called, Despacio. Isabella was a trooper as it was really hot inside of the studio. Really Hot. But she didn’t complain and was a Happy Camper. I know we will see you in future Commercials and films Isabella…..Thank You..Mrs…Stewart for allowing Isabella to be apart of the production. You can find out more about Isabella from here. Click the link.
Collin McCarthy…as Dr. Caldwell…as well….as A. Collin was quick on his feet and came up with the idea of himself being a Doctor interviewing the child…Sophia…after watching the film…I realized Collin can actually pass for being a doctor. Thanks Collin for being so flexible and I gave you a writing credit for IMDB as you help write this part of the film. Thank You. You can catch up with Collin here. Click the link.
Yissendy Trinidad played B….the LOVE interest of Collin, Who was A. Yissendy was a trooper as she was auditioning for another part and then was asked to play the LOVE interest……… her part in the film is small. But she makes the most of it. You probably recognize Yissendy from the Messenger as she played Janessa. You can catch up with Yissendy here. Click the link.
The Messenger is a short film created by Jamaal R. James for James Creative Arts And Entertainment Company. The Messenger is a short film about a inter-planetary being who visits different people and forces them to make choices. The underlying message is in life we all have choices. The choices we make (ESPECIALLY in negative situations) make things better or worse for us. Here’s a link to the film.
Well here’s the Messenger himself. Hermann C. Wolf. Hermann did a great job of making and bringing the Messenger to life. Hermann was very adaptable and did an excellent job of jumping into character as the messenger. Hermann’s German came in very handy as well, since the messenger is using a cryptic language. Lol, what he’s saying is Bad things happen to all of us…..What really shapes our fate is what we do with it. Thanks again Hermann. You can check out his profile here. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6648193/
Burtis Cutler. Burtis played Fred. Burtis did a great job of playing Frustrated Fred. Fred is a middle aged male who’s mad because his kids are spoiled and his wife shows him no respect…and then the car he’s driving happens to break down on him. The Messenger shows up and Burtis takes action. Action that becomes costly for him…..Well watch the film and see for yourself. Fred is to remind us that when we’re angry we should think before acting. You can catch up with Burtis Cutler here. Click the link.
Ruth Hunduma played Cindy. Cindy was jogging and minding her own business when she sprains her ankle on a step. Cindy makes more decisions that make her situation worse than before. Cindy’s another reminder to all of us that when your emotional remember to think……..Ruth was a great actress and was given very little direction and brought Cindy to life. Ruth next time I’ll make a storyboard to make the action come to life. Thanks again Ruth. You can find out more about Ruth Hunduma Backstage here. Click the link.
Yissendy Trinidad played Janessa. Janessa is engaged to be married to her fiancé…and her fiancé has changed his mind and decided to get married with Janessa’s best friend. Janessa takes it like a champ but then makes a hasty decision. Janessa is the embodiment of woman that lash out at their man or ex man by doing something with their body that does no harm to the man or woman in their life and much harm to themselves. If you don’t believe go on message boards and see what scorned women post online. So Janessa is a reminder to all of us….don’t send pics until you cool down….Yissendy’s accent came in handy. Yissendy was great to work with and took time to actually convey emotional conviction as Janessa. You can catch up with Yissendy Trinidad here.
Jacob Kahn played Bartholmeu. Jacob was Awesome I thought he was actually taking a Molly. Lol. Well Jacob played Bartholmeu. Bartholmeu is a college student who is studying for Finals. When he reaches his is almost finished studying he gets a message from a friend advising him that he’s been studying the wrong chapter……Now this has happened to all of us at one time or another. But Bartholmeu makes a choice after the Messenger shows up. Things get out of hand. Bartholmeu reminds us that a temporary escape doesn’t release you from having to face the consequences of your decisions. Thanks again Jacob…..you can Catch up Jacob Kahn here.
Authors are far closer to the truths enfolded in mystery than ordinary people, because of that very audacity of imagination which irritates their plodding critics. As only those who dare to make mistakes succeed greatly, only those who shake free the wings of their imagination brush, once in a way, the secrets of the great pale world. If such writers go wrong, it is not for the mere brains to tell them so”

This is a good video about motivation and going after dreams and desires. Enjoy.

The staress of the Short Film………..Cancel That KungFu Flick
Christina Preciosa………..better known as Ashley Romero.
Ashley was a blast to work with. She is so brave. She completely jumped into Character as Christina and you really thought she was Christina. The fight scenes…oops, did I give it away? Well Christina thank you again for having such a positive attitude and demeanor which made filming this not only fun but memorable. Looking forward to making Part 2. Thank You again, Ashley. Here’s a link to Ashley’s profile. http://www.bookingashleyromero.com/
The ” Bad Girl” or Villianness. Yes the one and only Lizz Adams.
Lizz was Awesome. She was a very bad bad girl. During the filming it reminded me of middle school and how some girls are just mean to other girls because they can. Well Lizz did an Awesome job of that. Lizz looks so sweet and innocent but don’t be fooled she can hang with the best of them. Lizz was very Coachable and adapted to the hectic schedule as well. Lizz Thanks again, looking forward to the sequel. Thanks again. Here’s a link to Lizz Adams profile. http://www.lizzadams.com/
Buff-no fluff, Piankhi Iknaton, made this guy is BIG. Dee-bo aint got nothing on Him. PK was very humble, very flexible and very easy to work with. He also made us all feel safe because if anyone had any bad plans he would handle it. I have to apologize to this man as I didn’t record his complete portion of the film. Which is my fault. But you’ll see him in the Sequel. No worries. Thanks again, PK.
Last but not least the Two character Guru……..Mahesh Seneviratne…….who played Dance Prance Fitness Woo as well as Fatman Soup Fooie. Mahesh was also the fight scene cherographer as well. Mahesh is actually a multi-art trained marital artist as well. He really believes in Marital Arts as an Art Form. Mahesh was very calm under pressure as well and added his own spice to each character. Thanks again. Maheseh. Looking forward to part 2.
Thanks for reading this. Love all of you girls and guys. Thank you again for everything. We will work together again soon. Thank You.
Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way.”
