Where in the Hell is Kittycatchasuki? (from Kitty Catch Comic Strip) directed by Film Director Jamaal R. James

So finally got around to finishing up the short film called, “Where in the Hell is Kittycatchasuki? The film is based upon a cartoon/comic strip  called Kitty Catch Comic Strip (which can be found here at timeilaugh.com )created, drawn, and written by Cartoonist Jamaal R. James.  The production was a success in regards to creativity and originality and is currently in the process of being edited so that we can all see the amazing results. The promo should be up and running in a few days. But for now we will just shown some images of the production,

First well start off with Sharkamorliman himself: By the way if you are wondering what he is. He is a sharkoctopus, his mother is a octopus and his father is a shark. He seems kind of lost but hell find his way. He will. He will. Sharkamorliman was played by Mohab Henein who did an outstanding job of bringing the character to life. The part where he body raps is pretty awesome as well if I don’t say so myself. Thanks again Mohab. If you need a personal trainer or piano lessons he is really talented at both so google his name and look him up.

He is obviously lost and trying to find the Love of his life that he trys to trap but keeps eluding him. Maybe one day he’ll catch Kittycatchasuki. But maybe he never will, only time will tell. Kittyyyycaatchhhhasukkiiiiii.

So if you read the comic you will see after several unsuccessful advances at trying to catch Kittycatchasuki he cant and gives up. Then he gets a new idea where he decides, yes, oh yes, what i’ll do now is make a robocat named, “Metanastione. Man oh man the lengths that this dude will go thru to catch her. Metanastione was played by none other than the illustrious Candace Dovie. Yes, I’ll say it again Candace Dovie…….whattttttt? I know. I know. Yes she graced our production with her presence. Which will be eternally grateful for. Not only is Candace extremely creative and fearless she can improve with the best of them. So I guess you’ll have to check out the film to see what I’m talking about. You can catch Candace (at this time) working on several plays, Tats The Experience; Jules Ventura; 3 Knocks; Sirens; Lost Boys.

This was a great mini video that I found online that dealt with the importance of storytelling. Sometimes I think its funny to break away from the traditional and avant garde methods of storytelling. Well enjoy.

American Film Conference 2014

So if your into creative arts, then you have what you like and don’t like about art, talent and creativity. But another good thing that I’m learning to do is go to conferences and learn information about where an industry is heading or what people in the industry are doing, plus its a good thing to network with people in your industry as it may help down the road especially if the other person is as serious as you are about being successful. So enter the American Film Market Conference Series. Well I could Blab forever about it but it’s best if you check it out yourself.
