The Messenger is a short film created by Jamaal R. James for James Creative Arts And Entertainment Company. The Messenger is a short film about a inter-planetary being who visits different people and forces them to make choices. The underlying message is in life we all have choices. The choices we make (ESPECIALLY in negative situations) make things better or worse for us. Here’s a link to the film.
Well here’s the Messenger himself. Hermann C. Wolf. Hermann did a great job of making and bringing the Messenger to life. Hermann was very adaptable and did an excellent job of jumping into character as the messenger. Hermann’s German came in very handy as well, since the messenger is using a cryptic language. Lol, what he’s saying is Bad things happen to all of us…..What really shapes our fate is what we do with it. Thanks again Hermann. You can check out his profile here. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6648193/
Burtis Cutler. Burtis played Fred. Burtis did a great job of playing Frustrated Fred. Fred is a middle aged male who’s mad because his kids are spoiled and his wife shows him no respect…and then the car he’s driving happens to break down on him. The Messenger shows up and Burtis takes action. Action that becomes costly for him…..Well watch the film and see for yourself. Fred is to remind us that when we’re angry we should think before acting. You can catch up with Burtis Cutler here. Click the link.
Ruth Hunduma played Cindy. Cindy was jogging and minding her own business when she sprains her ankle on a step. Cindy makes more decisions that make her situation worse than before. Cindy’s another reminder to all of us that when your emotional remember to think……..Ruth was a great actress and was given very little direction and brought Cindy to life. Ruth next time I’ll make a storyboard to make the action come to life. Thanks again Ruth. You can find out more about Ruth Hunduma Backstage here. Click the link.
Yissendy Trinidad played Janessa. Janessa is engaged to be married to her fiancé…and her fiancé has changed his mind and decided to get married with Janessa’s best friend. Janessa takes it like a champ but then makes a hasty decision. Janessa is the embodiment of woman that lash out at their man or ex man by doing something with their body that does no harm to the man or woman in their life and much harm to themselves. If you don’t believe go on message boards and see what scorned women post online. So Janessa is a reminder to all of us….don’t send pics until you cool down….Yissendy’s accent came in handy. Yissendy was great to work with and took time to actually convey emotional conviction as Janessa. You can catch up with Yissendy Trinidad here.
Jacob Kahn played Bartholmeu. Jacob was Awesome I thought he was actually taking a Molly. Lol. Well Jacob played Bartholmeu. Bartholmeu is a college student who is studying for Finals. When he reaches his is almost finished studying he gets a message from a friend advising him that he’s been studying the wrong chapter……Now this has happened to all of us at one time or another. But Bartholmeu makes a choice after the Messenger shows up. Things get out of hand. Bartholmeu reminds us that a temporary escape doesn’t release you from having to face the consequences of your decisions. Thanks again Jacob…..you can Catch up Jacob Kahn here.
So yesterday, completed the short film, Despacio. Yes changes had to made to the original storyline but the show must go on as usual. So what we have here is a failure to communicate. LOL. Well here’s a pic of me at the studio (Rented), then the idea popped into my head, your on the way to being like Bill Cosby. I said okay, I can accept that. So look out for these series of short films we have coming out soon, Thanks again. Until next time, James Creative Arts and Entertainment Company out.
Hello All. Look out for these short films coming to a mobile, tv, or computer screen near you. Just reminding all to be patient as we iron out some kinks and get things going again. Hope all is well. “The Messenger” coming soon, is about a guy that makes messages happen and the choices people make and things that happen after we make our choices for good or for bad. “Office Cukkeltics” is about work place issues of harrassment, discrimination, racism and sexism and how we deal with it all and the choices that we all make on our jobs. “Despacio is about the times when we should slow down to see what we are doing and breath and see how our actions are having a effect on those around us. Nothing less, nothing more, until then, gonna keep watching these animatronics videos, and writing these future sci-fi scripts. Thanks again. Jamaal R. James.
Thank You all for being patient with me while I build this creative arts company. So here we go. Trois like it Hot. This was a short film that was originally called the College stalker, or well that’s what the script was written for. It was supposed to be about these three slick females that were committing murders and getting away with it and leaving Detectives dumb founded. But it went from a short film to a full fledged full production movie. So I was Happy that I was able to condense this some what into a small production enough to include all the elements that needed to be included. Everyone did an Awesome job on the project and I was Happy that things went well.
So here we go.
Some here’s a list of the Actors and bio’s a many thanks to all involved as well. Here’s a link to the site.
Maxi has a natural intensity which shows in her smile and general appearance. It was a pleasure working with Maxi, as the script was improvised and she led the group in dialogue and coming up with scenarios in each scene. I look forward to working with Maxi in the future. For this production her name was Raven. Raven was the leader of the disgruntled girls who were fed up with men’s BS.
Here is Maxi’s Bio:
Willing to overstep the boundaries of vanity in favor of the ugliness of truth and comedy. You’ll find a versatile, confident actress who won’t hesitate to try something new!
Victoria Marcello as Cassandra
Victoria has a very calming energy and was a pleasure to work with as well. But they run into mean people. LOL. The basic underlying premise is open to interpretation as there are many. Here is the cast: SharkeishaTina Renee Tina played Sharkeisha for the fill and did a wonderful job. She was very funny and just as silly as the role requested. She is very easy to work with and follows thru with what she says. I was late to filming and she and everyone were really understanding. Tina played an excellent Silly Sharkeisha looking forward to working with her again in the future. Here’s a link to Tina’s backstage page and her bio. https://www.backstage.com/actresstinarenee/
Tina Renee, an Arkansas native moved to California at the age of 13. Her parents immediately took note of her one and only dream of becoming an actress and immediately placed her in various acting workshops and classes. Tina has stared and co-starred in three independent films and has hosted several radio and web programming segments. Tina’s advise to anyone following their wildest dreams is this: When life hands you lemons, make some of the best chocolate milk anyone has ever tasted then leave the onlookers puzzled wondering how you did it *wink*
Amber Tiffany Kieu Tiffany played Amber. Amber was the guiding force that was supposed to help Sharkeisha along the way because she just happens to get lost at different times. Until her bio posts her is a link to her backstage page. https://www.backstage.com/Tiffany_Kieu/ Bio Tiffany Kieu is a 24 year old Vietnamese American originally from Irvine, Ca. Wiccard the Wallow/Franswa the Dreamer Waleed Hussain Waleed was very energetic and jumped right into his role of being Wiccard the Wallow and Franswa the dreamer. Waleed has a lot of energy and is very quick on his fight. As most of the dialogue was improvised and he flowed from scene to scene. I really look forward to working with Waleed in the future as well. Here’s a link to his backstage page and his bio. https://www.backstage.com/waleedhussain/
Bio Waleed Hussain is an up-and-coming actor and comedian. He’s performed for TV show pilots and short films. As a comedian, he goes to many of the open-mics in the LA area and has performed in an improv comedy show locally. He looks forward to becoming the next big thing and working opposite big names.
Yummy The Eater Prince Tez/Dontez Sharpley Dontez has a very warming smile and friendly personality. He makes you feel as if you’ve known him for years. He is very approachable and manageable. Some of the lines that Dontez came up with during the filming were really funny. The costume design covered up Dontez’s face for most all of the shoots but he still was motivated to finish the film which I take my hat off to him for. He is a great all around guy and I look forward to working with him in the future. Here’s a link to his bio and backstage page. https://www.backstage.com/dontezsharpley/
